On July 27, 2019, jointly organized by the criminal procedure Committee of Shandong Lawyers Association and the criminal justice and criminal policy research center of Shandong University, the first phase of Shandong criminal defense high-end forum and the seminar on the protection of private enterprises' rights and interests from the perspective of criminal defense was held in Jimo, Qingdao. The seminar invited Professor Chen Weidong, executive vice president of China Society of criminal procedure law and Law School of Renmin University of China, Wang Minyuan, vice president of China Criminal Procedure Law Research Association and Professor Wang Minyuan of Law School of Zhejiang University, vice president and Secretary General of China Criminal Procedure Law Research Association, chief expert of National Institute of legal aid and Professor Gu Yongzhong of China University of political science and law Expert in criminal procedure law. Many well-known criminal defense lawyers and experts from courts and procuratorates attended the seminar. The conference discussed and exchanged in-depth on the legal issues involved in the dilemma of rights and interests protection faced by private enterprises (enterprises) and the criminal defense problems of private enterprises (enterprises) crimes, which greatly promoted the theoretical research level and criminal defense level of lawyers in our province.As a special guest, director Zhao Chunyong of our institute delivered a keynote speech on "we should be cautious in the use of compulsory measures against private enterprises and private entrepreneurs", which was recognized and affirmed by experts attending the meeting.Deputy director Qi Wei and lawyer Ruan Xiaoliang of our institute attended the meeting as members of the criminal procedure Professional Committee of Shandong Provincial Lawyers Association. Qi Wei's defense strategy for crimes of occupation and misappropriation of funds caused by shareholder disputes was selected into the proceedings of the conference.
